Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay

The only edit I did on this photo was the sign at bottom left, so you could see this was in Mississippi! Beautiful sun set that night.

Let It Rain!

Let it rain, let it rain
on the grape, on the grain;

in my heart, there's your smile,
that brings hope... life's worthwhile.

MacKay, Texas

I took this photo many years ago when we where driving to Corpus Christi ,Texas. I had the mister stop and go back to this old worn down building. The "A" from MacKay was gone and the place was empty.( I added the words art and photography)  In Texas you have almost every city name from around the world. No kidding....and this is our name McKay! The only thing about this town is what you are looking at, and this town is on the map!
Now that I'm back blogging, the art media I am diving into is snapping pictures.I'm still sick but everyone can snap pics....love it. So I hope you enjoy my photos. I decided to use this photo as my site pic.
Much love,

I'm back to work with my Photography!

I'm practicing on me , hope you don't get sick of looking at me.

I'll be adding some of my work along with desert recipes that I love.

Hippie Colors

I had a little time today for blogging...
please know that I love you all, and will come to visit soon!

So this last week I took my fake nails off and I'm growing out
my own, It really does make me feel better, even though they
look terrible now!

Wanted to play around with my pics today, hippie colors!!
I just love this skirt from a resale shop...it's pink!

Be seeing ya soon, Much love,

Soft Ivory Light

I often think of the color Ivory in the winter.
Some how it makes me feel warm!

Does one wake each day to beauty?
Can I find it deep inside myself?

The color Ivory also makes me quiet.
A whisper through the halls
A light guiding me to rightness.

Be quiet my soul

Keeping my eyes towards Heaven.
Much love

Brown Sugar and Blueberries

I've had a complete change in how I approach a wardrobe these days.
I love colors, and sometimes I would get stuck in wearing only blacks or whites.
I'm picking up on nature....God's colors.

I call this my brown sugar and blueberry out fit.

Loving big chunky necklaces!!

Sweater tights and boots.

Yesterday the sky did clear, after some time of rain for days.
Until next time.....much love!

  Mom and Dad

The fresh smell of garden roses on the kitchen table.....

Fresh baked pound cake that fills the home with a wonderful smell and warms the tummy after and good supper.

 much love,

What I've been up to...

Well... I'm feeling so much better! Thank you all for your prayers, it means so much to me.
The picture of my breakfast room above, I have finally painted my old table white, a dear friend gave me the chairs so I painted them also. I can't say enough of how calming the room is now, I just feel happy in this room and I'm in it a lot...the family also!

So, as I've been resting and getting stronger, I've hung out in my pj's quiet a bit and became a great couch potato!

This table is in my kitchen, it's been in the family for years. Never thinking it would be the best cutting table ever. Even bread making. I remember my parents using it for just that as I was growing up and now I have  used it for raising up my children and some day they too will use this sweet old table in the same ways. We all love this little table. Now that it's the age it is, don't you just love the marking on it.....lovely!!
